Fans of Debbie Harry are irate that Kirsten Dunst has been chosen to portray their idol in a new biopic. Apparently, they think Kiki is too ugly and untalented to play Harry, the legendary singer from the new-wave band Blondie. Now, Kiki is striking back against these naysayers, saying:
Debbie chose me for this role so anyone who disputes this can take it up with her. ... I'll work hard on this character because she is the coolest woman of all time.
You tell them Kiki. Obviously, these people are just haters who do not appreciate your special abilities as an actress. Didn't they see Marie Antoinette? You rocked in that movie so much. And you will make a great Debbie Harry - I think. Actually, to be quite honest, Crabbie never cared much for that kind of music - it always made me feel like someone was doing dental surgery on my ears. What the hell's wrong with Nina Simone anyway? A little Helen Morgan? That's music. This punk-rock stuff - sorry, but I'd rather be kicked in the groin repeatedly by a martial arts master wearing a spiked boot. Seriously, how can these Debbie Harry fans really be that worked up about Kiki being cast? As if Harry is some kind of tough role to play. All you do is stand on-stage and sing dumb songs while looking sex-kittenish. Kiki can do that in her sleep. And probably will.
